PLANNING MATTERS

Example of our Brick Plinth Layout

Firstly,Field Shelters usually do not need planning permission as they are known as temporary structures because they have no concrete pad, footings or closeable doors. The commonly used method for avoiding the need for a planning and building warrant is to exercise your rights. There are some rules but in simple terms you can in most areas put up a timber structure on your own grounds up to 30m2 without any permissions whatsoever. In some areas a structure 30m2 consisting of a shelter or Hay store 18ft x 18ft is acceptable, but please check with the planning officer prior to placing your order.
However, any building which is in the same location for 6 months or more needs to be considered for planning permission therefore,we are finding quite a few of our customers going for our towable stables&fieldshelters with steel skids,as these are movable and in most cases we have found that no planning is required.
There are however, establishments like National Parks and Conservation Areas where all or any structures need planning however,a call to your local planning officer will put you right.
